P Metal powder RDOUCT
The Plasma Rotating Electrode Process operates on the following technical principle: under the protection of a high-purity inert atmosphere, the plasma induces an electric arc at the end of a high-speed rotating electrode rod, causing it to melt; the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the electrode rod then ejects the molten metal, atomizing it into fine droplets; these atomized molten metal droplets subsequently condense into spherical powders within the inert atmosphere environment.

The powder features a narrow and concentrated particle size distribution and high sphericity. Alloy powders produced by gas atomization mainly have particle sizes ranging from 0 to 150 μm. Alloy powders fabricated via plasma rotating electrode process (PREP) show particle sizes predominantly in the range of 20–200 μm.
Sphericity exceeds 95%, and the powder is nearly free of hollow particles and satellite particles.
Free of metallic and non-metallic impurities, low oxygen content.
